How To Choose The Right Binaural Beat Session
Most people open a binaural beat library and feel immediately overwhelmed. Delta, Theta, Beta. Normal octave, Lower octave, Deep octave. Carrier frequencies. Binaural gaps. Where do you even start?
Here's the simple truth. Two variables determine how a session feels. The binaural gap tells your brain which state to move toward. The octave determines how that journey feels physically.
The Binaural Gap -- What Your Brain Is Being Asked To Do
The gap between the two carrier tones creates the binaural beat.
A 2Hz gap produces a Delta beat.
A 7Hz gap produces a Theta beat.
A 12Hz gap produces a Beta beat.
Each range corresponds to a mental and physical state:
Delta -- 0.5 to 4Hz -- deep sleep, physical recovery, nervous system reset.
Theta -- 4 to 8Hz -- meditation, creativity, calm focus, anxiety relief.
Beta -- 12 to 20Hz -- alert focus, active thinking, mental clarity.
The Octave - How The Journey Feels
This is where Chromasound differs from every other binaural beat channel. The carrier frequency, the actual tone your ear receives, is derived mathematically from visible light frequencies divided down through octaves. And the octave you choose changes everything about how a session feels.
Sleep sessions target sub-100Hz for maximum soporific effect.
Normal octave -- bright, present, slightly forward. Best for focus and active mental states.
Lower octave -- warm, settled, grounded. Best for calm, anxiety relief and light meditation.
Deep octave -- heavy, slow, almost physical. Best for deep sleep, profound meditation and full nervous system reset.
The Simple Rule
Deeper the need. Deeper the octave. Brighter the need. Higher the octave.
The Session Selector
How To Use This
Decide what you need right now. Match it to the table. Find the corresponding session in the Chromasound library. Start it before you begin your activity or intention, not halfway through. Give it at least 20 minutes. Your brain needs time to follow the signal.
That's it. No guesswork. No woo-woo.
Just frequency, octave and time.
